The Coconut Grove playhouse : To Be or not To Be ?

The Coconut Grove Playhouse opened in 1927 as a movie theater which has been hosting famous performers throughout the years.

But after these glory years of success, the Coconut Grove Playhouse was closed in 2006 because of debt accumulation and remains closed today.

Two weeks ago the State of Florida decided to give a 30 days deadline to the Coconut Grove Playhouse to put itself back on its feet. Otherwise, the theater will become a state property. Read the rest of this entry »

An Argentinean wind blows on Miami

Argentines are nowadays the leaders in the real estate market. They exceeded Brazilian investors which used to be the most active group from Latin America. For example at Opera Tower 50% of the recent buyers were Argentines.

European assault on Miami residences!

Even if Europeans have always been pretty active in South Florida’s residential market, a few months ago they started to massively buy properties.

Since the inventory in Miami Beach and Downtown is decreasing these buyers are very aggressive. Indeed, they make offers as soon as properties become available on the market.
